Double Stabbing in Pennsylvania Home Leads To Arrest: Police

A man was arrested after stabbing two people in a Montgomery County home on Tuesday, Nov. 19, according to police.

The man, who was not identified, stabbed a man and a woman inside a residence in the 500 block of James Street in Upper Merion Township at 8:50 p.m., the Upper Merion Police Department said in a news release.

Both victims sustained non-life threatening stab wounds, according to police. The man, who fled the scene, was known to both of the victims.

Numerous officers began searching the area for the man after they arrived on the scene, police said. Fifteen minutes later, an officer spotted the man on foot in the area of Walker Field.

He was arrested without incident, according to police. The man was charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, and related charges. He's currently being held in the Montgomery County Prison while awaiting court proceedings.  

There is currently no threat to the public, police said.
